Drupal 8/9 add body class for the current page based on url alias

To add a body class as per the node path respective to the url alias of node id, we have to add the path alias variables. This snippet fills the requirement.

your_theme_name.theme

 $current_path = \Drupal::service('path.current')->getPath();
 $internal = \Drupal::service('path_alias.manager')->getAliasByPath($current_path);

 $vars['attributes']['class'][] = str_replace("/", "", $internal);
}

function themeName_preprocess_html(&$variables) {
  $current_path = \Drupal::service('path.current')->getPath();

  $path_alias = ltrim($path_alias, '/');
  $variables['attributes']['class'][] = \Drupal\Component\Utility\Html::cleanCssIdentifier($path_alias);
